Mentoring Video from Ginger Christensen on Vimeo.
I finished my Mentoring Project Paper the other day and made the decision that I did not want to do a detailed visual research paper for my project presentation. I wanted to tell it like a story. If you want the data, deeper details, and in-depth analysis...read my Mentoring Paper. This presentation is meant to give you a snapshot of this project and how it went; to act as a summary of my mentoring journey. Video created on the iPad with iMovie, slides with Haiku Deck, and screencasting with Explain Everything. Photo of Butte School taken by Ginger Christensen.

I liked your short version of the explanation. I know you spent a lot of time trying to get everything to work correctly on the I-Pad. You did a nice job explaining everything. I am sure your teaching partner was thankful you mentored him.

Thanks, Christine. I still don't know what's going on with iMovie not uploading to YouTube. It used to work, at least through last summer. I opened up an account on Vimeo and it uploaded just fine to it. I don't like Vimeo's lack of options in its privacy settings, though.

Ginger - Nice presentation. I also took a look at your paper. I think it is really well done. Sounds like your mentoring project was very successful. The only suggestion I would make is to eliminate all the verbatim comments in the results section from your paper. I think they are unnecessary. I think it is just as effective to reference specific comments, as you did, without having the reader read through all the comments. Otherwise, nicely done.

Thank you for your specific comments on my paper. I didn't like all of the comments, either, but thought I needed them to explain the results. Maybe that is my math background- needing to lay out the data, in this case the comments. I may be able to make changes, but have already submitted since yesterday was the due date. It definitely would read better, I agree. Thanks for your feedback!

Congrats on a successful project! How wonderful your coworker is able to manage his website independently… a sign of a good mentor :)
